Quickstart Guide

This guide will walk you through placing your first satellite imagery order on the Geopera platform.

Prerequisites

• A Geopera account (sign up at portal.geopera.com)
• Area of interest (AOI) coordinates or shapefile
• Basic understanding of your imagery requirements

Step 1: Define Your Area of Interest

1. Navigate to the Search page in Geopera Portal
2. Use one of these methods to define your AOI:
   • Draw on Map: Click and drag to draw a polygon
   • Upload Shapefile: Upload a .shp file with your boundaries
   • Enter Coordinates: Input lat/lon coordinates manually

Step 2: Set Search Parameters

Configure your search criteria:

• Date Range: Select the time period for your imagery
• Cloud Cover: Set maximum acceptable cloud coverage (0-100%)
• Sensors: Choose specific satellite sensors or leave all selected
• Resolution: Filter by spatial resolution requirements

Step 3: Review Results

The search will return available imagery scenes:

• Preview: Click thumbnails to see larger previews
• Metadata: Review acquisition date, cloud cover, and sensor details
• Coverage: Ensure scenes cover your full AOI

Step 4: Add to Cart

For each scene you want to order:

1. Click Add to Cart
2. Select processing options:
   • Basic: Orthorectified imagery
   • Pansharpened: Enhanced resolution (where available)
   • Analytics Ready: Additional radiometric correction

Step 5: Checkout

1. Review your cart contents
2. Confirm processing options
3. Add any special delivery instructions
4. Submit your order

Step 6: Monitor Progress

• Check order status in My Orders
• Receive email notifications at key milestones
• Download completed imagery from your order page
